Work will start shortly on A628 Thurlstone road repairs from Huntsman to River Don!

I’m delighted that BMBC have completed works on their recent road repair of the A628 from the Hoylandswaine roundabout to the railway bridge.

Now they will be starting work on much needed repair of the A628 from Thurlstone Church, then past the Huntsman Inn down to the River Don bridge.

I’m sure there will be many residents looking forward to the improved road surface.

I also escalated a repair needed on Manchester Road this week in Millhouse Green caused by a collapsed manhole cover.

With planned footpath repairs too being carried out soon in Penistone town centre, we should finally be seeing improved tarmac surfaces which have been crying out for repair!

Looks like Northern Powergrid have restarted their work to build a new substation in Penistone!

Well, after several false starts it does now look like Northern Powergrid will finally complete work on providing a new substation by the doctor’s surgery in Penistone.

I hope it is completed soon, as it will provide a much better stable supply in Penistone.
